The Institute of Science was established within Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, which was established by law number 5467 dated 17.03.2006, and started its activities on 28.12.2006.
Mission
The mission of the Institute of Science; to lead the training of qualified researchers and individuals with knowledge and skills in the field of science, to ensure the continuous development, evaluation and effective implementation of education programs for this purpose, to contribute to the improvement of education quality in all programs, to support national and international joint research activities and project studies, to encourage the opening of new programs for this purpose, to contribute to world science by prioritizing the needs of our country and our people in the thesis studies to be carried out.

The vision of the Institute of Science; to be a respected institution that is preferred by students who believe that they will improve their quality of life with the profession they are educated in, whose graduates have a distinguished place in their fields with the education they receive, who train qualified scientists to universities with the education programs they carry out, who support scientific and technological research, and who increase it at the national and international level. It is to implement education-teaching methods that prioritize research-based learning by maintaining and constantly updating postgraduate education programs in line with the requirements of today and accurate predictions for the future. It is to prepare an environment for the development and dissemination of national and international innovations by giving importance to university-industry-institution-organization cooperation in scientific research activities.
